## Market Analysis Turkey is positioned to become a major hydrogen hub due to its proximity to the European market and its vast solar and wind resources. Current logistics trends show a 15% annual increase in heavy-duty transit through the Anatolian corridor. With the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), Turkish exporters are incentivized to adopt green hydrogen to maintain competitiveness. The domestic market is expected to reach a demand of 500,000 tonnes per annum by 2035. ## Infrastructure Development The plan involves three main pillars: (1) Decarbonizing the industrial zones (OIZs), (2) Retrofitting existing natural gas pipelines for hydrogen blending (up to 20%), and (3) Constructing a 'Hydrogen Highway' with HRS every 150km along the Istanbul-Ankara-Mersin axis. ## Energy Transition Forecast By 2030, Turkey aims to have 2GW of electrolyzer capacity. The forecast suggests a transition where hydrogen replaces 10% of heavy-duty diesel consumption by 2032. The integration of offshore wind in the Marmara Sea will be critical for providing the necessary baseload for green hydrogen production. ## Financial Projections The total capital requirement for Phase 1 is estimated at $1.2 Billion. Revenue will be generated through direct hydrogen sales, hydrogen-as-a-service contracts for logistics fleets, and the sale of International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-RECs).
